Technology and founders’ centres are intended as incubators for the "sheltered childhood" of start-ups with both innovative and proven ideas from all manner of economic sectors. Depending on the orientation of the individual centres, the focus is placed on services, production or innovative technologies.

The three facilities in the County of Heinsberg also serve different target groups. The ESC Euro-Service-Center in Geilenkirchen, for example, is orientated mainly to service companies, while the GSZH Business Founders’ and Service Centre in Hückelhoven can offer attractive facilities to both service providers and manufacturing companies. The CMC Carolus-Magnus-Centrum for Environmental Technology in Übach-Palenberg focuses on eco-tech, while also providing space for service providers and other innovative young companies.

What the centres have in common is the combination of on-the-spot services, flexible space at reasonable prices and synergy effects arising from their proximity to other companies in various stages of development.

Another feature they share is that all start-ups and young entrepreneurs are welcome here, provided that their business concepts and space requirements are compatible with the options available.
