The Mediaeval ground plan and well preserved fortifications of Waldfeucht are only part of the attraction of this town. Also included here are historical windmills, picturesque marsh forests, rolling fields and idyllic streams that give this borderland municipality a special quality of life.
The perfect balance between this natural and cultivated landscape, its solid trade and craft businesses and the town’s residential assets round off the attractive picture.
What also helps to preserve this good balance in future is the designation of a second business estate (also providing businesses already located here with scope to expand) on the outskirts of Bocket.
Long an insider tip for lovers of nature and not least fans of asparagus, Waldfeucht gained broader recognition in 1989 when it won first prize in a competition to find Germany’s most beautiful village.
